The Pan-Valley Institute

By:  Unknown
Date:  July 10, 2009

The Pan-Valley Institute was one of nine organizations around the United States selected by the Woodrow Wilson Center's Mexico Institute (www.wilsoncenter.org) to produce a report that examines Latin American immigrant civic and political participation. The report produced by the Pan-Valley Institute for the project not only focuses on the civic and political participation of Mexican and Mexican Indigenous immigrant communities in Fresno and Madera counties but provides a detailed overview of the different historical movements in the Central Valley that have helped to shaped such participation.

In June 2009, Myrna Martinez Nateras and Estela Galvan traveled to Washington, D.C., to formally present the report, which is slated to be published in July 2009.
